A public handle is the only input
FollowerSignal’s X beta begins with a public handle. It does not ask for an X password, two-factor code, browser cookie, or permission to post. The product requests only the public relationship information required for the selected report.
That boundary keeps the workflow simple: FollowerSignal can compare eligible public lists, but it cannot reveal protected information or act inside an X account.
Two lists, two bounded jobs
A reliable report needs the direction of every relationship. FollowerSignal therefore collects Followers and Following in separate bounded jobs, then compares normalized handles only after both jobs succeed.
The interface shows live elapsed time and which list is ready. You can cancel safely, retry a temporary failure, and see a clear error instead of waiting on a silent progress bar.
Complete means below the published cap
The beta supports fewer than 1,251 records in each public list. If either collection reaches that boundary, FollowerSignal does not know that it reached the end of the source list, so it stops without showing a relationship comparison.
This is stricter than quietly truncating the output, but it prevents a partial followers list from turning into a false not-following-back list.
What is stored and exported
The visible report contains public handles, display names when available, public profile links, relationship groups, and the collection time. The CSV export is generated in the browser from the active completed list.
Do not use a relationship export as an outreach database. A public handle is not consent to receive automated messages, and the report does not include private email addresses.

Do I need to sign in to X?
No. The current FollowerSignal X beta works with eligible public accounts and does not request an X login.
Why does the tool reject a large account?
A relationship comparison is trustworthy only when both lists are complete. Reaching the collection cap means completeness cannot be proven.
Is the X beta paid?
No. It is currently free while FollowerSignal measures real completion time, provider reliability, and cost. Instagram billing does not apply to X reports.
