Check official account signals first

Open Instagram’s Account Status area and review any notices about removed content, feature restrictions, or recommendation eligibility. An outside checker cannot see every internal enforcement signal associated with your account.

Confirm basic public visibility

While signed out, verify that the public profile resolves and recent public posts appear. Search for the exact username, open direct post links, and distinguish a missing profile from lower distribution in Explore or hashtag surfaces.

Compare the right metrics

Use a group of similar posts rather than comparing one Reel with an unrelated carousel. Look at follower reach, non-follower reach, impressions, profile actions, saves, and watch time where available.

• Topic and format stayed comparable.
• Posting time and cadence were not radically different.
• The hook and retention did not collapse.
• The audience source did not shift after a viral post or promotion.
• There is no official recommendation-eligibility notice.

What a public checker can honestly report
